The U.S. State Department estimates that 600,000-800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year. With today being National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, there’s no better way to kick off our first 2018 #SmallBusinessShoutOut than by acknowledging the awesome work of Colors of Hope.
Based in Hallettsville, TX, Colors of Hope seeks “to be one of the world’s leading Equine Restoration, Enrichment, and Empowerment programs for organizations around the globe who rescue young girls and women affected by sexual abuse and sex trafficking.”
Through their commitment to the cause and unrelenting efforts to overcome sex trafficking and help victims recover therefrom, the Colors of HopeTM Equine Restoration Program creates an environment that focuses on fostering relationships with horses as a method of providing physical and spiritual comfort to those who have been exposed to trauma.
What makes Colors of Hope even greater is that their work to put an end to human trafficking stretches across the globe. Their reach extends to India, Indonesia, Kenya, the United Kingdom, and Peru. They live by their motto, #InItToPreventIt.
Colors of Hope also provides mentoring opportunities, partners with other organizations, and hosts equine retreats for groups and organizational leaders, and offers an Equine Restoration Certification program.
