Congrats to Kim Kardashian on the arrival of her baby, Psalm West! She is officially the queen of the quirky name game. But she is also queen of the [pending] trademark game. Kim has recently filed a trademark application for her fourth child, Psalm West, only two weeks after his birth. Her other children, North, Chicago, and Saint all have trademark applications filed for their names as well.
The trademark application for “Psalm West” was filed in 16 different classes of goods and services, including hair accessories, calendars, books, photo albums, jewelry, handbags, linens, baby bottles, toys, advertising services, skincare products, furniture, clothing, and nutritional supplements, to name a few.
This isn’t new for the Kardashian/Jenner clan, with Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner also attempting to trademark their babies’ names, True Thompson and Stormi Webster, respectively. Kylie Jenner also tried to trademark “StormiWorld” – the name used for her daughter’s first birthday party back in February.
Celebrities are quickly growing their brands through their children’s name, and baby Psalm West has just helped grow the Kardashian Empire.
