The creator of interesting footwear, fashion aficionado, and serial venture capitalist Kanye West is back at it again!
Kanye’s company, Mascotte Holdings, Inc., has filed an intent-to-use trademark application on September 21 for the mark “DONDA” on not just one or two products but a SLEW of technology products including computers, audio speakers, wearable computers, smartwatches, smart glasses, wearable activity trackers, earbuds, headsets, headphones, and surround sound systems. Previously, Kanye was an avid supporter of Steve Jobs and maybe Kanye wishes to emulate what Apple products have done for the technology community.
“DONDA” is the name of Kanye’s late mother, the namesake for his tenth and most recent studio album, and upcoming line of housewares. In addition to these technology devices, Kanye is also applying for trademark registration of e-books, newsletters, journals, magazines, and pamphlets with the “DONDA” mark. Surprisingly, these are not Kanye’s first few applications. At least since 2016, it seems that Kanye’s holding company is no stranger to filing for and then letting applications abandon in various goods and services. We guess time will tell if you’ll be using Ye certified technology!
