It’s #SmallBusinessShoutOut time! This week we are featuring a nonprofit online resource supporting women working offshore. Mariner Ally Cedeno founded The Women Offshore Foundation in 2017 to connect women with others working in maritime operations and in offshore industries. The Foundation’s mission is to shine light on women in operations, provide resources to foster long-term careers, and share the latest on gender diversity and inclusion in the offshore and maritime industries.
The Foundation offers a variety of resources including the “Women Offshore” podcast. The podcast features guest speakers who discuss current events and topics like job seeking during COVID-19, motherhood, and well control. You can check out the “Women Offshore” podcast here.
Women Offshore also offers a virtual peer mentorship program called MentorSHIP, where women are paired with a mentor who has similar career aspirations and experience working in water. You can support Women Offshore by purchasing some great apparel and accessories through their online store.
